My name is Noel Connolly.
I am married with 3 children, one in each level of the education system. I worked in retail management for over 20 years and returned to third level education part time, achieving a degree in Law in 2016. I have worked as a Parliamentary Assistant in the Oireachtas and am currently employed with a non profit organisation offering housing and tenancy advice.
I served on Kildare County Council from February 2020 until June 2024. Following the election of then Councillor Shónagh Ní Raghallaigh to the Dáil, I was selected to be her replacement on the Council to represent the Kildare LEA.
I am passionate about Climate Action, and while I do what I can, such as driving an electric car, retrofitting my home, growing some of the food we eat at home and harvesting rainwater; local and central government must lead the way in addressing climate change, particularly for those who can’t afford to make the necessary high impact changes.
